Most companies are entitled to make a claim under the second round of the Employment Subsidy Scheme. The catch is that the deadline is 2pm Wednesday 23 December yet most business are unaware that the even qualify.
The scheme is actually of fund of €70m established to assist Irish businesses retain employment. Originally targeted at exporters, the scheme is available to virtually all business sectors that have 10 full time employees as at 2nd November 2009 and are willing to commit to retaining a defined number of your staff over the next 12 months.
Under the scheme a grant of up to €9,100 per approved employee is available. However there is a very short window of opportunity to applications must be made by 2pm this Wednesday.
